VIP Contemporary Indigenous Performance

 

 

During the Victoria Invitation Program dinner at the National Gallery of Victoria, Maurial and her troop performed an exquisite up-close personal look at contemporary Indigenous dance, through its unique and ancient storytelling. A Victorian Government event with attendance from the Premier, guests from around the world were in awe of their beautiful portrayal of works evoking the past and present.  The audience were enthralled by this special performance, the only live component of the program to introduce visitors to Indigenous culture.

Chinese New Year at Sovereign Hill

Our renowned Chinese acrobat performed at Sovereign Hill’s Chinese New Year celebrations alongside other fantastic performers on 22 February.  Audiences were amazed by the Chinese acrobat’s feats with the Diablo (ancient Chinese spinning instrument) and her skills with plate spinning and ribbon dancing, which created a splendid show of color and flexibility. Ms Lee is a leading Chinese acrobat with experience in the Nanjing Acrobatic Troupe.

Cricket World Cup Performances

PAN International’s amazing Bollywood dancers succeeded to make dance supporters from India at the Cricket World Cup 2015 at the match on Sunday 22nd February against South Africa. On Thursday 26th February, the Sri Lankan dancers who performed at Birranrung Marr to encourage players for the match against Bangladesh, and to bring a cheerful atmosphere for cricket’s supporters. Both groups performed traditional dances from their countries with grace, which transported us to Asia for several magic moments.

Sand Art Celebrations

 

During a Christmas dinner celebration organised by Instinct International at the Grand Hyatt Hotel on 4 December, Pooja Harischandra created an amazing sand animation telling the company’s massive growth over the last few years.

For this special occasion, Pooja Harischandra created a specific storyboard for the event, using metaphors to explain the company’s journey since its creation. The growth of the company was embodied by a blooming flower. A jazz band was accompanying this stunning sand animation performance which ended on the company’s logo.

The Greek Orthodox Community of Oakleigh and District’s “Oakleigh Greek Glendi- Unity through Diversity” free outdoor multicultural festival was enjoyed by all on the weekend of 1 – 2 November.

The Greek Orthodox Community of Oakleigh and District’s “Oakleigh Greek Glendi- Unity through Diversity” free outdoor multicultural festival was enjoyed by all on the weekend of 1 – 2 November. 2014’s event expanded to Warrawee Park and on Drummond Street which enjoyed large audiences. Proudly supported by the Victorian Multicultural Commission and the City of Monash, the Glendi is recognised as an outstanding community event that draws Australians from various ethnic communities together, for a great outdoor celebration.

PAN International provided the Risk Management Plans assisting with logistics to deliver a safe event for the Greek community. Even though the weatherwas trying on Saturday, Sunday was a great success beginning with an opening address from the Premier. It was wonderful to see a community having fun dancing, singing and laughing all together.

From little children to adults, community members displayed their skills to display different kind of shows during the whole day. The organisers should be extremely proud of their efforts for delivering an enjoyable event as audience members witnessed traditions passed down to generations celebrating cultural diversity in a heartfelt gathering.

On Saturday 26 October the Wurundjeri dance group presented an exceptional show at the International Cytokine Conference Opening Ceremony. With a Welcome to Country performed by Colin Hunter, our guest speaker showed his respect for the traditional custodians of this land to an audience of scientists in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries from around the globe.

On Saturday 26 October the Wurundjeri dance group presented an exceptional show at the International Cytokine Conference Opening Ceremony.

 

Attendees were educated in traditional Australian heritage performing dances such as the kangaroo to the backdrop of the didgeridoo. The night was enjoyed by all and our client ASN Events were extremely pleased with the outcome.
